The STARRETT 00060 is a welded carbon steel bandsaw blade from the Duratec SFB series, designed for contour cutting on metal-cutting and general-purpose bandsaws. The blade runs 130 inches long and 0.5 inches wide, with a thickness of 0.025 inches and a constant-pitch layout at 14 teeth per inch. Both the blade body and tooth material are carbon steel, with a straight tooth form and raker tooth set. The flexible back type allows the blade to track reliably on standard bandsaw wheels. Installers in metalworking shops, fabrication facilities, and maintenance trades will find this blade suited to production and service cutting work.
The 00060 is intended for use on bandsaws accepting a 130-inch blade loop. The constant 14 TPI pitch and raker set make it well suited for cutting ferrous metal, non-ferrous metal, plastic, and plywood. The toothed edge with straight rake angle provides consistent chip clearance across these materials. Contour cutting is supported, making this blade appropriate for curved and irregular cuts in addition to straight rip and crosscut passes. Typical applications include structural steel cutting, tube and bar stock, aluminum extrusions, and light non-metallic materials in light manufacturing or maintenance environments.
Designed as a welded loop replacement blade for bandsaws requiring a 130-inch blade length and 0.5-inch blade width.
Bandsaw blade replacement is typically performed by millwrights, maintenance technicians, or experienced shop personnel. Power down and lock out the bandsaw completely before removing the old blade or installing a new one. Verify wheel diameter, blade guide clearance, and blade tension specifications on the saw before mounting. Follow the saw manufacturer tensioning procedure and do not exceed rated blade speed for the material being cut.
