The STANLEY 15-924A is a 12-inch hacksaw blade rated at 24 teeth per inch (TPI), designed for cutting mild steel, cast iron, aluminum, and copper. The higher TPI count produces cleaner cuts on thinner-walled materials and non-ferrous metals. At 0.09 pounds, it is a lightweight consumable that fits standard hacksaw frames. Plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and electricians keep these on hand for fast, on-site cuts during rough-in and service work.
This blade is suited for general trade use across residential and light commercial applications. It handles the common material types encountered in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical rough-in work, including copper tubing, aluminum conduit, and mild steel pipe or strapping. The 24 TPI pitch is effective on medium to thin cross-sections where a fine, controlled cut is needed without excessive blade loading.
Designed as a standard replacement blade for full-size 12-inch hacksaw frames used across plumbing, HVAC, and electrical trades.
Install the blade with teeth facing forward in the hacksaw frame and tension the blade firmly before cutting to prevent blade flex and breakage. Wear appropriate eye protection when cutting metal. Secure the workpiece in a vise when possible to maintain control and produce a square cut. Replace blades when teeth show visible wear or when cut speed and quality noticeably decrease.
