The STANLEY 15-612 is a bi-metal hacksaw blade from the 15-600 Series, designed for cutting a wide range of metals in trade and mechanical service environments. The blade construction bonds a flexible carbon steel body with a high speed steel cutting edge, giving it both the durability to resist breakage under stress and the hardness needed to hold a sharp tooth profile through extended use. At 12 inches in length, this blade fits standard full-size hacksaw frames and is suited for plumbers, pipefitters, electricians, and HVAC technicians who routinely cut metal conduit, pipe, and structural stock in the field or shop.
This blade is appropriate for general metal-cutting applications in both residential and commercial trade work. It handles a broad range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including unhardened tool steel and stainless steel. Typical use cases include cutting threaded rod, electrical conduit, copper and steel pipe, and strut channel. It is sold individually and is a direct fit for any standard 12-inch hacksaw frame.
Designed as a standard replacement blade for full-size 12-inch hacksaw frames used in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general mechanical trade applications.
Hacksaw blade replacement does not require electrical shutoff but always secure the workpiece before cutting. Install the blade with teeth pointing forward, away from the handle, and tension the blade firmly using the frame tensioning mechanism before use. Worn or cracked blades should be replaced immediately to avoid blade failure during cutting.
