The STANLEY 15-334 is a SharpTooth handsaw designed for fast, clean cutting in demanding trade and job-site conditions. The saw features a 15-inch blade with 9 points per inch (TPI) and an aggressive 3-sided tooth geometry that cuts wood approximately 50% faster than conventional handsaws. Teeth are induction hardened, extending edge life 3 to 5 times longer than standard saw teeth. The hardwood handle includes a large hand opening sized to accommodate work gloves, reducing fatigue during extended cuts. At 0.79 pounds, the saw is easy to maneuver in tight framing and finish situations.
The 15-334 is suited for rough and finish carpentry, general construction framing, trim work, and mechanical trades requiring a reliable hand-cutting tool. Its tooth design and blade length make it effective for cutting dimensional lumber, engineered wood, and plastic pipe — a common need for plumbers and HVAC techs working in areas where power tools are impractical. The large-opening handle makes it a practical choice for pros wearing heavy work gloves on cold-weather jobs or confined-space installs.
Designed as a general-purpose hand saw suitable for wood, engineered lumber, and plastic pipe cutting across carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC service applications.
No power source required. Secure the workpiece with a clamp or vise before cutting to prevent movement and ensure a straight cut. When cutting plastic pipe, deburr the cut end before fitting to ensure a proper seal. Dispose of or replace the saw when teeth show visible wear, as induction hardened teeth cannot be re-sharpened with standard files.
