Built with aluminum oxide abrasive, this roll delivers consistent stock removal at 80 grit, placing it in the medium grade range suitable for general-purpose material removal and surface preparation. Measuring 0.25 inches in diameter and 1 inch in length, it fits standard mandrels used in die grinders and rotary tools. It is a common consumable for metal fabrication, toolroom work, and maintenance grinding applications.
This cartridge roll is used in metalworking environments where access to bores, slots, ports, and curved surfaces requires a compact abrasive form factor. Typical applications include cleaning weld seams inside tubing, blending in port work, deburring machined holes, and finishing hard-to-reach interior contours. Cartridge rolls are installed by a machinist or metal fabricator onto a threaded mandrel sized to match the roll diameter before mounting in a die grinder or rotary tool. Ensure the tool is powered off and disconnected from the air supply or electrical source before changing abrasive rolls. Do not exceed the maximum RPM rating of the abrasive or the tool. Inspect the roll for damage or looseness before each use and replace immediately if the abrasive shows signs of core separation or uneven wear.
