The STANDARD ABRASIVES 7100031592 is an aluminum oxide mounted point designed for precision grinding, deburring, and surface blending on metal and hard materials. Configured in a cylinder profile (point shape code W183) with a fine grade abrasive, this mounted point features a unitized bond construction that delivers consistent material removal with a controlled cut. The 1/4 inch head thickness and 1/8 inch shank diameter make it well suited for use in die grinders, rotary tools, and straight-shaft grinders. It is rated to a maximum of 51,700 RPM. Toolroom machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians use mounted points like this for finishing bores, ports, and hard-to-reach internal surfaces.
This mounted point is intended for applications where fine surface finishing or light deburring is required in confined areas. The cylinder shape provides flat-sided contact for working inside slots, recesses, and cylindrical bores. It is commonly used on steel, cast iron, and other ferrous metals in maintenance, repair, and fabrication environments. Mounted points are installed and serviced by machinists, toolroom technicians, and metal fabricators. Before mounting, confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 51,700 RPM maximum rating of the point. Insert the shank fully into the collet and tighten securely before operating. Inspect the mounted point for cracks or damage before each use and do not use damaged abrasives.
