The SQUARE D Q1515 is a duplex (twin) plug-in circuit breaker rated at 15 amps and 120 volts AC, designed for single-pole residential and light commercial load center applications. With a 10 kiloamp interrupting rating, it provides reliable overcurrent protection in a compact 1-inch-wide, two-circuit format. Each pole occupies half an inch of panel space, making this breaker an efficient solution when adding circuits to a nearly full load center. It carries both SWD (Switching Duty) and HACR (Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) ratings, making it suitable for motor loads and HVAC equipment circuits. Licensed electricians install this breaker as part of panel upgrades, circuit additions, or direct replacements in compatible load centers.
The Q1515 fits plug-in style load centers and is well suited for residential panel work where space is limited. Its duplex design places two independent 15-amp, 120-volt circuits in the space normally occupied by a single standard breaker. This makes it a common choice during service upgrades, kitchen or bathroom circuit additions, and HVAC circuit installations where panel real estate is at a premium. Compatible wire sizes range from 14 to 8 AWG copper or 12 to 8 AWG aluminum conductors.
Designed for plug-in style residential and light commercial load centers that accept duplex circuit breakers. Install only in load centers specified by the manufacturer as compatible with this breaker series.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. Always shut off main power to the load center and verify the panel is de-energized with a non-contact voltage tester before handling any breaker. Do not exceed the wire size ratings for the conductors being terminated. Confirm the target load center accepts plug-in duplex breakers before installation.
