The SQUARE D L100WNCS2M34 is a general-purpose limit switch with a rotary spring-return actuator and a DPST, 2NC contact configuration. Rated for up to 600 volts, it is designed for industrial and commercial control circuits where reliable position sensing and automatic return actuation are required. The die-cast aluminum body carries an IP67 ingress protection rating, making it suitable for wet, dusty, or contaminated environments. NEMA ratings of 1, 2, 4, 12, and 13 are met, covering a broad range of indoor and protected outdoor enclosure classes. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers of this device.
This limit switch is applied in machine tool, conveyor, hoist, and similar electromechanical control systems where an actuator arm detects physical travel and interrupts or completes a circuit. The side-mounted rotary spring-return actuator allows the switch to reset automatically after the actuating force is removed, eliminating the need for manual reset. It is suited for both light industrial and heavy-duty production environments. Terminal connections are made via screw terminals, and conduit entry is through a 1/2-inch NPT connection. Operating temperatures range from -10 degrees F to 185 degrees F, accommodating most indoor industrial conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install general-purpose limit switch for industrial control systems requiring a DPST 2NC rotary spring-return actuator with side screw terminal entry and 1/2-inch NPT conduit connection.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before mounting or wiring the switch. Secure conduit connections at the 1/2-inch NPT entry and verify all screw terminal connections are tight before restoring power. Do not exceed the rated voltage or operate outside the specified temperature range.
