The SQUARE D HDA36020 is a 3-pole, plug-in molded case circuit breaker rated for 20 amps at 600 VAC. It uses a thermal-magnetic tripping mechanism to protect circuits from both sustained overloads and short-circuit faults. The breaker is compatible with I-Line and lug terminal connections, giving installers flexibility in panelboard configurations. With a weight of 5.56 pounds, this is a full-bodied industrial-grade device suited for commercial and light industrial distribution systems. Licensed electricians install this breaker in switchboards, panelboards, and motor control centers where reliable overcurrent protection is required.
This breaker is designed for use in 3-phase electrical distribution systems operating at up to 600 VAC. It fits plug-in mounting positions in compatible panelboards and switchboards. The I-Line connection type makes it particularly suited for Square D I-Line panelboard installations. Wire range accommodates 14 AWG through 3/0 AWG conductors, covering a broad range of branch and feeder circuit applications in commercial, industrial, and multi-unit residential settings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for plug-in molded case circuit breaker positions in 600 VAC, 3-pole panelboard and switchboard applications supporting I-Line and lug terminal configurations.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the panelboard or switchboard before removing or installing the breaker. Verify conductor size falls within the 14 AWG to 3/0 AWG wire range and that the bus voltage and fault-current ratings of the enclosure match this breaker. Do not exceed the breaker's rated amperage or voltage when selecting circuit applications.
