The Square D B79.0 is a melting-alloy thermal unit designed for overload protection in motor controls and overload relays. The unit provides Class 20 characteristics and will trip in 20 seconds or less under overload conditions. It features a one-piece construction with an internal heater winding and a melting alloy actuator that opens control and motor contacts on overload, and is rated for 480 V with a 35.5 to 38.2 A trip range.
