The SQUARE D 9012GDW4 is an electromechanical pressure and level switch rated for 1.5 to 75 psig, designed for use in hydraulic and pneumatic system control circuits. It features an SPDT-DB (single-pole double-throw, double-break) contact form with screw terminal connections and a fixed differential pressure setting with a maximum differential of 3 psi. The switch is compatible with 120 VAC, 240 VAC, 125 VDC, and 250 VDC circuits, and carries a 6-amp contact rating. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers. NEMA 4, 4X, and 13 ratings make it suitable for washdown and corrosive-environment applications.
This pressure switch is applied in industrial and commercial settings where reliable electromechanical sensing of fluid or air pressure is required. It is used in hydraulic power units, pneumatic control panels, and similar pressure-monitored systems. The 1/4-inch fluid connection port and 1/2-inch conduit connector are standard for panel and inline installations. Its vibration-resistant construction makes it appropriate for equipment subject to mechanical shock or continuous vibration, such as compressors, presses, and pump skids.
Designed for use with hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems as stated by the manufacturer. Suitable for control circuits operating at 120 VAC, 240 VAC, 125 VDC, or 250 VDC.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or instrumentation technician in accordance with NEC requirements and applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit and depressurize the system completely before connecting or disconnecting the switch. The 1/2-inch conduit entry accepts standard conduit fittings for enclosed wiring. Verify that system pressure and voltage ratings do not exceed the values specified for this switch before placing it in service.
