The SQUARE D 9007MS04S0400 is a general purpose limit switch designed for industrial and commercial control applications. It features a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) contact form in a normally closed (NC) configuration with a rotary spring return actuator mounted on the side of the metal body. Prewired terminals simplify installation and reduce field wiring time. The switch carries an IP67 ingress protection rating, meaning it is sealed against dust and temporary submersion, making it suitable for wet or dirty environments. It is rated for an operating temperature range of -40 degrees F to 220 degrees F and a maximum operating force of 48 oz-in.
This limit switch is used in industrial machinery, conveyor systems, door and gate position sensing, and other electromechanical control circuits where precise mechanical actuation is required. The side-mounted rotary spring return actuator returns the switch to its default position when mechanical force is removed, supporting reliable cycle-repeatable operation. It is appropriate for both light industrial and more demanding environments where NEMA 1, 2, 4, 6, or 6P rated enclosures are specified. Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified industrial controls technician in accordance with NEC Article 430 and applicable local codes. Disconnect and lock out all power to the control circuit before removing or installing the switch. Verify actuator alignment and mechanical travel before restoring power to prevent false actuation or mechanical damage. Do not exceed the rated operating force of 48 oz-in when setting up the actuating mechanism.
