The SQUARE D 9007C54G is a general purpose industrial limit switch built for position sensing and mechanical control in automated and electromechanical systems. It features a side-mounted plunger actuator, a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) contact form with a normally closed (NC) configuration, and screw terminal connections. Rated to 600 volts, the switch is housed in a zinc body and carries an IP67 ingress protection rating, making it suitable for wet and dusty industrial environments. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers. It is compliant with RoHS requirements and meets multiple IEC standards.
This limit switch is designed for use in industrial machinery, conveyor systems, assembly lines, and process equipment where precise position or travel detection is required. The side-entry plunger actuator is suited for applications where the actuating object approaches from the side. The wide operating temperature range of -20 degrees F to 185 degrees F makes it appropriate for both indoor climate-controlled facilities and harsher production environments. NEMA ratings of 1, 2, 4, 6, 6P, 12, and 13 cover a broad range of enclosure and environmental exposure categories.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation general purpose limit switch for industrial control and automation systems requiring SPDT plunger-actuated position sensing at up to 600 volts.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or industrial maintenance technician in accordance with applicable NEC guidelines and local electrical codes. De-energize and lockout-tagout the equipment before mounting or wiring the switch. Screw terminals require proper torque to maintain secure connections — follow terminal specifications on the device label. Verify actuator alignment and travel distance prior to restoring power to avoid false triggering or mechanical damage.
