The SQUARE D 9007C52D is a general purpose limit switch designed for industrial position sensing and machine control applications. It features a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) contact form with a normally closed (NC) configuration and a roller plunger actuator mounted on the side of the zinc die-cast body. Rated for 600 volts, the switch carries an IP67 ingress protection rating, making it suitable for wet and dusty environments. Screw terminals provide secure, reliable field wiring. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers of this device.
The 9007C52D is used in manufacturing, material handling, packaging, and process control systems where precise mechanical position detection is required. The side-mounted roller plunger actuator is well suited for applications where the actuating object approaches from the side, such as cam-operated machinery, conveyor systems, and door interlock circuits. The switch operates across a wide temperature range of -20 degrees F to 185 degrees F, supporting use in both indoor and outdoor industrial environments. Its NEMA ratings of 1, 2, 4, 6, 6P, 12, and 13 cover a broad range of enclosure and environmental requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation general purpose limit switch for industrial control systems requiring a side-mounted roller plunger actuator with SPDT NC contact configuration.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements and the machine manufacturer's wiring diagrams. De-energize and lock out all power to the circuit before mounting or wiring the switch. Screw terminals must be tightened securely to prevent loose connections under vibration. Verify actuator alignment with the operating cam or target mechanism before returning the machine to service.
