The SQUARE D 9007AW16 is a general purpose limit switch designed for position sensing and mechanical control applications in industrial and commercial electrical systems. It features a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) contact form with a normally closed (NC) configuration and a rotary head actuator mounted on the side of the body. Rated for 600 volts AC, this switch is built with a zinc body and connects via screw terminals. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers. The IP65 ingress protection rating and NEMA ratings of 1, 2, 4, 12, and 13 make it suitable for environments where dust and water exposure are concerns.
The 9007AW16 is used in industrial machinery, conveyor systems, and automated equipment where precise mechanical position detection is required. It is surface mounted on the side of the application, making it straightforward to integrate into existing panel or machine enclosures. The operating temperature range of -65 degrees F to 185 degrees F allows deployment in cold storage environments as well as warm industrial settings.
