The SQUARE D 9007AEQ2724 is a general purpose limit switch designed for industrial and commercial control applications requiring reliable position detection. It features a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) contact form in a normally closed (NC) configuration, actuated by a roller lever arm measuring 2.0 inches in length. Rated for 600 volts AC, this switch is built with a zinc alloy body and silver contacts for durable, long-cycle service. It mounts via surface mount with screw terminal connections and a 1/2-inch NPT conduit entry. Licensed electricians and industrial controls technicians are the primary installers for this type of device.
This limit switch is suited for use on conveyor systems, door interlocks, machine guards, and other electromechanical control circuits where a physical position or travel limit must be detected. The roller lever actuator engages smoothly on cams, ramps, or actuating plates during machine travel. The 4-degree travel actuation angle makes it responsive in tight-tolerance applications. It is rated for NEMA enclosure types 1, 2, 4, 6, 6P, 12, and 13, covering both indoor general-duty and washdown or submersion environments. Operating temperature range spans -20 degrees F to 185 degrees F, allowing deployment in refrigerated or high-heat industrial settings.
Designed as an OEM-style general purpose limit switch for industrial control circuits requiring surface mount installation with SPDT NC roller lever actuation at up to 600 volts AC.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the machine control circuit before mounting or wiring the switch. Ensure the conduit connection at the 1/2-inch NPT entry is properly sealed for the intended NEMA environment rating. Verify roller lever alignment with the actuating cam or ramp to achieve consistent, repeatable actuation without side-loading the lever arm.
