The SPORLAN 4125-00 is a heat reclaim sweat pilot valve designed for refrigeration and HVAC systems that recover condenser heat for secondary heating applications. Supplied without a coil, this valve uses ODF (outside diameter flare) sweat connections and accepts the MKC-1 coil when solenoid actuation is required. The 1.625-inch ODF connection size makes it suitable for larger refrigerant circuit piping. Licensed refrigeration and HVAC technicians install this component during heat reclaim system construction or service, integrating it into the hot-gas bypass or heat reclaim loop.
Heat reclaim pilot valves are used in commercial refrigeration systems, supermarket cases, and rooftop HVAC installations where waste condenser heat is redirected to supplement space heating or water heating. This valve is ordered less coil, meaning the solenoid coil is sourced separately, which allows field selection of the appropriate voltage coil for the control circuit. The port size of 1.25 inches supports adequate flow capacity for the refrigerant circuits these systems typically employ.
Designed for use with the MKC-1 coil. Intended for heat reclaim piping circuits using 1.625-inch ODF sweat connections in commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC or refrigeration technician holding EPA Section 608 certification. Recover all refrigerant and depressurize the system before cutting into any refrigerant line. ODF connections require silver-alloy brazing with dry nitrogen purge flowing through the line set to prevent internal oxidation scaling. Verify that the separately sourced coil voltage matches the control circuit voltage before energizing the valve.
