The SPI CMS220519022 is an electronic ball anvil micrometer designed for precision outside measurement of curved, convex, and cylindrical workpiece surfaces. It covers a measurement range of 1 to 2 inches with a resolution and graduation of 0.0001 inches, making it suitable for high-accuracy dimensional inspection tasks. The carbide ball anvil and spherical spindle contact points are sized at 6.5 mm diameter each, allowing consistent contact on radius surfaces where a flat anvil would rock or seat improperly. A ratchet thimble ensures repeatable measuring force, and a positive lock nut holds readings during transfer.
