The SPI CMS220519021 is an electronic ball anvil micrometer designed for precise outside measurement of curved, convex, and contoured surfaces. It features a spherical spindle and carbide ball anvil, both 6.5 mm in diameter, that make positive contact on rounded workpiece geometries where a flat anvil would give false readings. The measuring range runs from 0 to 1.00 inch with a resolution of 0.0001 inch, and a digital counter display provides fast, reliable readout. A ratchet thimble delivers consistent measuring pressure, and a positive lock nut holds the set position during transfer or recording. Calibration is included from the factory to ASME B89.1.13 standards. This tool weighs 0.85 pounds and packages at approximately 7 inches long, 3.4 inches wide, and 0.97 inches in height.
The CMS220519021 is suited for metrology, quality control, and precision inspection work in manufacturing, tooling, and machine shops. This instrument is handled and calibrated by metrologists or trained QC personnel. Store the micrometer in its case when not in use and keep it away from vibration, heat sources, and corrosive environments. Before use, verify the zero setting with the supplied standard and wipe the anvil and spindle faces clean with a lint-free cloth. Do not overtighten the lock nut, as this can damage the spindle thread and affect accuracy.
