The SPI CMS220519020 is an electronic ball anvil micrometer designed for precise outside-diameter and curved-surface measurements in industrial and metrology applications. It features a ball anvil paired with a flat spindle, allowing technicians to measure the wall thickness of tubes, curved parts, and other non-flat workpieces with high accuracy. The unit covers a measurement range of 0 to 1 inch with a resolution of 0.0001 inch and an accuracy rating of plus or minus 0.0001 inch. A ratchet thimble delivers consistent measuring force, and the digital counter readout eliminates manual interpolation of graduated lines.
This micrometer is suited for quality control, inspection, and manufacturing environments where curved or spherical contact surfaces are required. Typical users include machinists, tool-and-die makers, metrology technicians, and precision fabrication shops. The instrument is calibrated to ASME B89.1.13 standards, making it appropriate for environments that require traceable measurements. The rotating spindle and positive lock nut allow repeatable readings when measuring production parts or performing incoming inspection.
Designed as a direct-use precision measuring instrument for general industrial and metrology applications requiring ball anvil contact geometry on curved or cylindrical workpieces. No additional adapter or replacement fitment information was specified.
This instrument is used by metrology and inspection personnel and does not require mechanical installation. Store in the supplied case when not in use and avoid contact between the measuring faces and abrasive surfaces. Calibrate at regular intervals per your facility quality program and in accordance with ASME B89.1.13 to maintain measurement traceability. Do not overtighten the lock nut or apply force beyond the ratchet stop, as this may affect calibration.
