The SPI CMS220519017 is an electronic blade micrometer designed for precision measurement in tight grooves, keyways, and narrow slots where standard anvil micrometers cannot reach. It covers a measurement range of 1 to 2 inches with an accuracy of plus or minus 0.0001 inches and a graduation of 0.0001 inches. The ratchet thimble delivers consistent measuring force to reduce operator-induced error. A digital counter display provides direct readout, and the data output port supports connection to SPC data collection systems. This tool is calibrated to ASME 89.1.13 standards and is used by machinists, quality control technicians, and precision metrology professionals.
The CMS220519017 is suited for inspection and layout work in machine shops, tool rooms, and manufacturing environments. It excels in applications requiring measurement of narrow features such as keyways, slots, recesses, and thin walls. The blade-style anvil and spindle allow access to confined geometry that standard micrometers cannot accommodate. The 6.00 mm spindle diameter, 0.75 mm blade thickness, and 6.50 mm blade depth make it appropriate for very narrow groove measurement. A 44.50 mm throat depth extends reach into recessed areas. Licensed metrologists and quality inspectors are the primary users of this instrument.
Designed as a standard electronic blade micrometer for precision measurement applications in the 1 to 2 inch range, compatible with SPC data collection systems that accept standard micrometer data output.
Blade micrometers are precision instruments and should be handled and stored in their provided case when not in use. Before use, verify the zero calibration per the manufacturer procedure and wipe all measuring surfaces clean with a lint-free cloth. Do not expose the instrument to coolant, cutting fluids, or extreme temperatures, as these can affect calibration and electronic components. Battery replacement uses a single CR2032 lithium cell; power down the instrument before replacing the battery.
