The SPI CMS180612007 is a 6-inch range dial caliper built for precision measurement in trade and industrial environments. It delivers 0.001-inch accuracy with a graduation of 0.001 inch and a range of 0.1 inch per revolution, making it suitable for high-resolution work on fittings, pipe, conduit, and mechanical components. The body and jaws are machined from stainless steel with a satin chrome finish for corrosion resistance. The black dial face improves contrast for fast, reliable readings. An adjustable bezel allows zeroing at any position. The instrument ships NIST traceability certified with a short-form calibration certificate included.
This caliper is designed for use by HVAC technicians, plumbers, pipefitters, electricians, and mechanical contractors who need verified dimensional measurements in the field or shop. It handles outside, inside, depth, and step measurements with a single tool. The 1.57-inch jaw length accommodates a wide range of workpiece sizes. It is well suited for checking pipe OD, fitting bore, valve stem, and conduit dimensions during installation or fabrication work.
Designed as a general-purpose dial caliper suitable for dimensional measurement tasks across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical trades.
No installation is required for this instrument. Before use, verify the bezel is zeroed with the jaws fully closed. Keep the measuring faces clean and free of debris to maintain accuracy. Store in the provided case when not in use to protect the dial mechanism and graduated surfaces.
