The SPI ADT-95-114-5SPI is a single-point diamond dresser designed for truing and dressing grinding wheels in precision machining operations. It carries a 1/3-carat diamond tip set in a 3/8-inch diameter shank that measures 2 inches in length, giving it a compact, secure profile suited to standard tool post and fixture mounts. The single-point configuration delivers consistent, repeatable contact with the wheel face, restoring cutting geometry and removing glazing. This dresser is resettable, meaning the diamond can be repositioned to expose a fresh cutting edge, extending service life. Machinists and grinding technicians working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments will find this a straightforward drop-in dressing solution.
The ADT-95-114-5SPI is appropriate for use on conventional surface, cylindrical, and bench grinders where a 3/8-inch shank holder or dresser block is available. It suits applications that require controlled wheel form restoration, such as finish grinding of metals, carbide tool reconditioning, and close-tolerance part runs. The resettable diamond tip makes it well suited to shops that prefer to manage diamond tool cost over time rather than replace the entire dresser after the initial tip wear.
Designed as a standard single-point diamond dresser for use with grinding wheel dressing fixtures and tool posts accepting a 3/8-inch diameter shank.
Diamond dressers are installed and serviced by machinists or grinding technicians. Before mounting or repositioning the dresser, de-energize the grinder and allow the wheel to come to a complete stop. Secure the shank firmly in the dresser holder to the depth recommended by the fixture manufacturer to prevent chatter or deflection during dressing. When resetting the diamond, rotate the shank slightly to present an unworn facet, then re-secure before returning to service.
