The SPI 37-200-3 is a double-end plug thread gage designed to inspect M18x1.5 internal threads to the 6H tolerance class. One end carries the Go member and the opposite end carries the No Go member, allowing a technician to verify both the minimum and maximum thread limits in a single tool. The gage ships with a handle included and comes with ANSI traceability certification traceable to NIST standards. It is the standard tool used in machine shops, manufacturing facilities, and quality-control environments where metric thread conformance must be documented.
This gage is suited for verifying M18x1.5 threads in precision machined components, hydraulic fittings, automotive parts, and any application where 6H class thread tolerance must be confirmed before assembly. The double-end configuration speeds inspection workflow by eliminating the need to swap gage members between Go and No Go checks. Quality inspectors, machinists, and manufacturing engineers are the primary users.
Designed for inspection of M18x1.5 internal threads conforming to 6H tolerance class per applicable ANSI and metric thread standards.
Thread gages are inspection instruments, not installation components. Always store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent damage to the thread members. Do not force the Go end through a thread — drag or resistance indicates an out-of-tolerance condition. Periodic recalibration against NIST-traceable standards is recommended to maintain measurement integrity.
