The SPI 37-181-5 is a double-end plug thread gage designed to verify internal M2.2x0.45 threads to the 6H tolerance class. One end serves as the Go member and the opposite end serves as the No Go member, allowing a technician to confirm both the minimum and maximum thread tolerance in a single tool. The gage ships with a handle included. At 0.11 pounds and a compact profile, it is suited for bench inspection work, quality control stations, and in-process verification on small-diameter threaded bores. Traceability documentation to ANSI and NIST standards is included with the unit.
This gage is used wherever M2.2x0.45 threaded features must be held to 6H class limits. Typical applications include inspection of precision machined components, small fastener bosses, and instrument or electronics hardware where fine-pitch metric threads are common. Machinists, quality technicians, and metrology lab personnel are the primary users. The included traceability certification supports documented inspection processes required in aerospace, medical device, and general manufacturing quality systems.
Designed to gage internal M2.2x0.45 metric threads held to the 6H tolerance class per applicable ANSI and NIST standards.
Plug thread gages are used by quality and inspection personnel, not installed in a system. Before use, clean the threaded bore and the gage members to remove chips, oil, and debris. Apply the Go member with light hand pressure only — never force a plug gage with tools, as this can damage the gage or the part. Store the gage in its case away from other metal tooling to prevent nicks to the thread form.
