The SPI 37-132-8 is a single-end Go plug thread gage designed to verify internal thread compliance on M30x3.5 metric threads to the 6H tolerance class. It checks that a tapped hole falls within the maximum material condition limit, confirming the thread will accept a mating fastener. The gage is manufactured to ANSI standards with NIST-traceable certification, making it suitable for quality-control workflows on the shop floor or in inspection departments. Handle is not included and must be sourced separately. Weighing 2.11 pounds, the gage insert measures 2.62 inches in length and 1.18 inches in diameter.
This gage is used in manufacturing, machining, and precision fabrication environments where metric threaded holes must be verified before assembly. It is appropriate for use on M30x3.5 tapped holes in steel, aluminum, cast iron, and similar materials. Machinists, quality inspectors, and tool room technicians rely on this gage to confirm threaded hole acceptance before costly components are assembled or shipped. Its single-end Go configuration fits straightforward acceptance inspection where a separate No-Go gage is used for the rejection check.
Designed for use on M30x3.5 internal metric threads requiring 6H tolerance class acceptance inspection. A compatible plug gage handle must be obtained separately to use this insert.
Plug thread gages are used by machinists and quality inspectors and require no power source or special installation. Ensure the tapped hole is clean and free of chips or coolant before gauging. Never force the gage through a thread; Go members should pass under hand pressure only. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent damage to the calibrated thread form.
