The SPI 37-104-7 is a single-end Go plug thread gage designed to verify the minimum material condition of internal M2.5x0.45 threads to the 6H tolerance class. This gage is used to confirm that a tapped hole will accept a mating fastener within specified limits. When the Go member passes through the full thread length without binding, the hole meets the lower tolerance boundary. At 0.044 pounds and a compact profile, it is sized for precision inspection work in manufacturing, machining, and quality-control environments. A handle is not included and must be sourced separately. Traceability is certified to ANSI standards with NIST reference.
This gage is suited for inspecting M2.5x0.45 tapped holes in small-diameter fastener applications common in precision machining, electronics assembly, and light mechanical fabrication. It is used wherever 6H-class internal thread verification is required. The single-end Go configuration is appropriate when a dedicated No-Go gage is already part of the inspection set or when only go-condition acceptance is needed at a given inspection station.
Designed for use with standard plug gage handles accepted by single-end Go gage blanks of this diameter class. Specific handle compatibility should be confirmed based on the gage shank diameter prior to ordering.
Plug thread gages are used by quality control inspectors and machinists in shop or lab environments. Insert the Go member by hand into the tapped hole with no power tools — forced insertion can damage the gage or the part. Clean threads and the gage member before each use to prevent debris from causing false readings. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to maintain calibration integrity.
