The SPI 34-517-3 is a single-ring threaded ring gage used to verify the dimensional accuracy of external M30 x 2.00 metric threads to Class 6G tolerance. This is the Go member of a Go/No-Go gage pair, meaning it confirms that a threaded workpiece meets the minimum acceptable thread form and pitch diameter. Manufactured from Oil Hardened Non-Shrinking Steel (OHNS), the gage delivers the hardness and dimensional stability required for production-floor inspection. It ships with an NPL Traceability Certification, supporting quality management systems that require documented measurement traceability. Machinists, quality technicians, and precision inspection personnel use this gage in both job shop and production environments.
This gage is suited for incoming inspection, in-process quality control, and final verification of externally threaded components machined to M30 x 2.00 metric specifications. The Class 6G tolerance classification corresponds to a medium-fit general-purpose thread, making this gage applicable across a wide range of fastener and component threading operations in manufacturing, tooling, and mechanical assembly applications. It is intended for single-ring use and is sold individually.
Designed for use on externally threaded workpieces with M30 x 2.00 metric thread form manufactured to Class 6G tolerance. Intended as the Go member of a metric threaded ring gage set.
Threaded ring gages are applied by quality technicians and machinists during inspection — no installation in a mechanical system is required. Before use, clean and lightly oil the gage and the threaded workpiece to prevent galling and protect gage accuracy. Store the gage in its case away from impact, extreme temperature changes, and abrasive surfaces to maintain calibration integrity. Periodic recalibration against traceable standards is recommended per applicable quality system requirements such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.
