The SPI 34-514-0 is a No Go threaded ring gage used to verify that an externally threaded workpiece does not exceed the maximum material condition for its specified tolerance class. Designed for M27 x 2.00 metric threads to Class 6G tolerance, this single-ring gage is machined from Oil Hardened Non-Shrinking Steel (OHNS) tool steel, which provides dimensional stability and resistance to wear over repeated use. A National Physical Laboratory (NPL) traceability certification is included, making this gage suitable for use in quality systems that require documented measurement traceability. Machinists, quality control technicians, and precision manufacturing shops rely on this type of gage as part of a go/no-go inspection process for threaded components.
This gage is used in production and inspection environments where metric threaded fasteners, fittings, or machined parts must be verified against Class 6G external thread tolerances. The No Go gage checks the maximum material limit — a properly machined thread should not allow the No Go ring to pass. It is commonly paired with a Go ring gage of the same thread size and classification to complete the full attribute inspection. Applicable in aerospace, automotive, industrial manufacturing, and general machining operations.
Designed for attribute inspection of M27 x 2.00 metric external threads manufactured to Class 6G tolerance per applicable metric thread standards.
Threaded ring gages are handled and used by quality control technicians and precision machinists — no installation in a system is required. Keep the gage clean and lightly oiled when not in use to prevent corrosion and maintain dimensional accuracy. Do not force the ring gage onto a thread; if resistance is felt during No Go inspection, the thread is within tolerance and the test is complete. Store in a protective case away from impact, temperature extremes, and abrasive contamination.
