The SPI 34-512-4 is a single-ring threaded No Go gage used to verify that external metric threads fall outside the maximum material condition. Manufactured from Oil Hardened Non-Shrinking Steel (OHNS), this gage is designed to check M24 x 3.00 metric threads to Class 6G tolerance. It ships with an NPL Traceability Certification, making it suitable for use in quality control environments where documented calibration traceability is required. Licensed machinists, QC inspectors, and tool room technicians use No Go ring gages as part of a two-gage system alongside the corresponding Go ring gage to confirm thread acceptance per dimensional standards.
This gage is intended for inspection of external metric threads on fasteners, machined components, and threaded assemblies. Class 6G is the standard tolerance class for general-purpose metric external threads and is the most common specification encountered in production and MRO inspection work. The single-ring design covers one function — No Go — and is typically used in pair with a separate Go ring gage during in-process or final inspection. The included NPL traceability certification supports ISO 9001 and similar quality management system requirements.
Designed for inspection of external M24 x 3.00 metric threads classified to Class 6G tolerance. Suitable for use in any inspection application requiring verification of general-purpose metric external thread dimensions.
Threaded ring gages are used by QC inspectors and machinist trades — no power source or mechanical installation is required. Keep gages clean and lightly oiled when stored to prevent corrosion and preserve dimensional accuracy. Do not force the gage onto a thread; a properly formed No Go gage should not pass more than two turns under hand pressure. Calibration intervals should follow facility quality procedures and applicable standards such as ASME B1.16M.
