The SPI 34-485-3 is a single-ring threaded ring gage machined for M10 x 1.50 metric threads and classified to Class 6G tolerance. It is a Go-type gage, used to verify that an externally threaded part falls within the acceptable lower limit of thread tolerance. Manufactured from Oil Hardened Non-Shrinking Steel (OHNS), the gage maintains dimensional stability under repeated inspection use. An NPL Traceability Certification is included, supporting quality management systems that require documented measurement traceability. Machinists, quality control inspectors, and tool-room technicians use this gage as part of incoming inspection, in-process control, or final verification routines on threaded fasteners and components.
This gage is suited for production and inspection environments where M10 x 1.50 metric-pitch external threads must be verified to Class 6G tolerance specifications. Class 6G is the most common general-purpose tolerance class for metric fastener threads and is widely specified in manufacturing, automotive, and industrial assembly applications. The Go ring gage checks that the thread form, pitch diameter, and lead fall within the acceptable high-material condition limit, confirming that a conforming mating part will assemble correctly.

Threaded ring gages are handled and used by quality control inspectors and machinists, not installed in a mechanical system. Keep the gage clean and lightly oiled when not in use to prevent corrosion and preserve calibration. Do not force the gage onto a thread; resistance during Go-gage application indicates a non-conforming part, not a stuck gage. Store in a protective case away from heat sources and heavy equipment to prevent distortion that would affect accuracy.
