The SPI 34-393-9 is a double-end plug thread gage designed to verify 7/16-14 UNC internal threads to a 2B class tolerance. One end is the Go member and the other is the No Go member, allowing a single tool to confirm both the minimum and maximum thread condition in one setup. The gage is manufactured from steel for wear resistance and dimensional stability under shop conditions. A handle is included and sized at Handle Size 2. Traceability certification to NIST standards is included, making this gage suitable for quality-controlled environments, inspection departments, and production floor verification.
This gage is used wherever 7/16-14 threaded holes must be verified to 2B class tolerance — a common requirement in general manufacturing, machining, fabrication, and maintenance repair operations. Typical applications include incoming inspection of threaded fastener holes, in-process thread verification on CNC or manual machining operations, and final inspection sign-off. The included NIST traceability certificate supports ISO and AS9100-type quality management documentation requirements.
Designed to inspect internal 7/16-14 UNC threads held to ASME B1.2 2B class tolerance limits in any material or application where that thread form is specified.
Thread gages are handled and stored by quality technicians, machinists, or inspection personnel — not installed in a system. Keep the gage clean and lightly oiled when not in use to prevent corrosion on the steel members. Do not force the Go end through a thread that resists entry, as this can damage both the gage and the workpiece. Store in the protective case or pouch away from other metal tooling to prevent nicking the gage members.
