The SPI 34-367-3 is a double-end plug thread gage used to verify the accuracy of internal threaded features to 10-24 thread specifications. One end carries the Go member and the other carries the No Go member, allowing a technician to confirm both the minimum and maximum material conditions of a tapped hole in a single tool. The gage is manufactured from steel and ships with a handle included. It is certified to NIST traceability standards, making it suitable for quality-control environments where documented calibration references are required. Machinists, quality inspectors, and precision manufacturing technicians use this type of gage on the shop floor or in inspection departments.
This gage applies to any application requiring verification of 10-24 UNC internal threads classified to 2B tolerance. Typical use cases include incoming inspection of threaded components, in-process quality checks during machining operations, and final inspection before assembly. The double-end design consolidates Go and No Go functions into one tool, reducing the number of individual gages needed on a bench. Industries such as HVAC equipment manufacturing, electrical panel fabrication, and general mechanical assembly commonly rely on thread gages of this class to maintain fastener fit and pull-out strength within specification.
Designed for inspection of internal 10-24 UNC threads classified to 2B tolerance. Suitable for use in any production or inspection setting where 10-24 tapped holes must be verified to ANSI/ASME thread standards.
Thread gages are inspection instruments, not cutting tools — do not apply torque beyond hand pressure when inserting either end into a tapped hole. The Go member should pass through the full thread engagement length without forcing; the No Go member should not enter more than two turns. Handle the gage carefully to avoid dropping, which can alter calibration. Recertify the gage on a schedule consistent with your quality management system requirements and usage frequency.
