The SPI 34-318-6 is a single-end plug thread gage designed to check internal threads for rejection of out-of-tolerance conditions. Built as a No Go gage, it confirms that a threaded hole has not been cut oversize or otherwise beyond the acceptable tolerance boundary for the specified thread form. Machined from steel, this gage covers a 3/4-16 thread size and is classified to 6H tolerance, which is the standard precision class for most general-purpose metric and unified internal thread applications. A Size 3 handle is required for use but is not included with this gage.
This gage is used in manufacturing, machining, and quality-control environments where threaded hole dimensions must be verified against ANSI standards. It is appropriate for inspection benches, receiving inspection, and in-process checks on parts with 3/4-16 internal threads. The gage ships with NIST traceability certification, making it suitable for documented quality systems and calibration programs that require traceable measurement tools.

Thread plug gages are used by machinists, quality technicians, and inspection personnel and require no permanent installation. Ensure the threaded workpiece is clean and free of chips or cutting fluid before gaging to avoid false readings. Do not force the No Go gage into a thread; if it enters freely, the hole is out of tolerance and the part should be rejected. Follow your facility calibration schedule and store the gage in a protected case to preserve accuracy.
