The SPI 34-312-9 is a single-end No Go plug thread gage designed to verify internal thread quality on 5/8-24 threaded holes to the 6H tolerance class. The gage checks that a threaded feature does not accept an out-of-tolerance condition, providing a fast pass/fail result at the workbench or on the production floor. Manufactured from steel and traceable to NIST standards under ANSI requirements, this gage is a staple tool for quality control technicians, machinists, and inspection personnel working with fine-pitch unified threads. A size 3 handle is required but not included.
This plug thread gage is used in manufacturing, machining, and quality inspection environments wherever 5/8-24 internally threaded components must meet 6H class tolerances. This gage is installed by quality technicians or machinists onto a compatible size 3 handle before use. Keep the gage clean and lightly oiled when not in use to prevent corrosion and maintain dimensional accuracy. Do not force the No Go member through a threaded hole; resistance indicates the thread is within specification. Store in a protective case away from impacts and temperature extremes to preserve calibration integrity.
