The SPI 34-242-8 is a single-end No Go plug thread gage designed to verify internal thread conformance in tapped holes. Built to ANSI standards with NIST traceability, it checks that a threaded feature does not accept an out-of-tolerance condition, confirming the thread stays within the specified 6H tolerance class. The gage body is machined from steel for dimensional stability and wear resistance. A size 0 handle is required for use but is not included with this gage. This tool is used by machinists, quality control inspectors, and manufacturing technicians wherever precision thread verification is required.
This gage is suited for inspecting 10-32 UNF internal threads in production, incoming inspection, and in-process quality checks. The 6H classification indicates a standard tolerance class for general-purpose metric-style inch thread gaging. Typical applications include verifying tapped holes in machined components, assemblies, and fabricated parts across industrial, aerospace, and mechanical manufacturing environments. The single-end configuration provides a compact gage for No Go inspection only.
Designed for use with a size 0 thread gage handle, sold separately. Compatible with standard plug thread gage handle systems that accept size 0 gage blanks for 10-32 UNF thread inspection.
Thread plug gages are installed by qualified machinists or quality technicians using a compatible size 0 handle. The gage should be inserted by hand with light, controlled force into the threaded feature being inspected. Do not force or power-drive the gage, as this can damage the gage or the part. Store the gage protected from impact and contamination to maintain calibration integrity.
