The SPI 34-241-0 is a single-end Go plug thread gage used to verify the minimum material condition of internal threads. Manufactured from steel, this gage checks that a threaded hole accepts a mating fastener within tolerance. It conforms to 6H classification per ANSI standards and ships with an NIST traceability certification. The 10-32 thread size targets fine-pitch applications common in instrumentation, electronics, and light mechanical assemblies. A size 0 handle is required for use but is not included with this gage. Machinists, quality technicians, and inspection personnel use this tool as part of incoming or in-process thread verification routines.
This plug gage is suited for inspecting 10-32 internally threaded components in production and quality control environments. The Go member confirms that a threaded feature meets the low limit of tolerance, ensuring proper fit with a corresponding fastener. Typical applications include verification of tapped holes in sheet metal, machined parts, and electronic enclosures. The single-end design is standard for dedicated Go-only inspection setups where a separate No-Go gage is used independently.
Designed for use with a size 0 plug gage handle (sold separately) and intended for inspection of 10-32 internally threaded features classified to 6H tolerance per ANSI standards.
Thread gages should be handled and stored carefully to prevent damage to the precision ground surfaces. Before use, ensure the gage and workpiece are at a consistent ambient temperature to avoid measurement error due to thermal expansion. Inspect the gage for nicks or corrosion prior to each use, and apply a light film of gage oil when storing to prevent rust. Calibration intervals should follow your facility quality management system requirements, referencing the included NIST traceability certificate.
