The SPI 34-229-5 is a single-end Go plug thread gage machined from steel and designed to verify internal thread conformance to a 6-40 UNC thread form at 6H tolerance class. When the Go member passes through the threaded feature without forced engagement, the thread is confirmed to be within the minimum material condition. This gage is used by machinists, quality inspectors, and toolroom technicians performing in-process or final inspection on precision threaded components. Traceability documentation to NIST standards is included, supporting calibration records and quality system requirements.
