It covers a measurement range of 0.05 to 4 inches across four step-increment series: 49 blocks in 0.001-inch increments, 19 blocks in 0.05-inch increments, 9 blocks in 0.0001-inch increments, and 4 blocks in 1.000-inch increments. Tolerances are held to +4 / -2 microinches over the 0.050-to-1-inch range, +8 / -4 microinches at 2 inches, +10 / -5 microinches at 3 inches, and +12 / -6 microinches at 4 inches. Each block is individually serialized and the set ships with a NIST Traceability Certification.
