The SPI 30-463-4 is a three-piece caliper attachment set designed to extend the measurement capability of standard 6-inch vernier, dial, and digital calipers. The set enables groove depth and bore depth measurements that a plain caliper jaw cannot reach on its own. Attachments are machined from steel with a hard chrome finish for durability and corrosion resistance. Accuracy is rated at 0.001 inches, making this set appropriate for precision layout and inspection work. Maximum measurement capacity follows the host caliper at 6 inches overall. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and quality-control inspectors are the primary users.
This attachment set is suited for shop-floor and inspection bench applications where internal groove dimensions and bore depths must be measured without a dedicated groove micrometer. The three attachments cover a range of groove depths and bore sizes: groove depths of 0.05, 0.07, and 0.2 inches, and maximum bore depths of 0.4, 0.625, and 1.0 inches. Flange widths of 0.015 and 0.025 inches allow the attachments to enter narrow grooves. The set is designed for use with 6-inch vernier, dial, and digital calipers.
