The SPI 29-568-3 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage designed for precision go/no-go inspection of drilled, reamed, or bored holes at a nominal diameter of 0.568 inches. Built from steel with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches, this gage delivers the tight accuracy required for quality control in machining and manufacturing environments. Class ZZ Plus gages are typically used for production inspection where repeatable, reliable measurement of hole size acceptance is required. Metrology technicians and machinist-level QC personnel are the primary users of this tool.
This plug gage is suited for inspection applications in production machining shops, tool rooms, and manufacturing facilities. It is used to verify that drilled, punched, or reamed holes fall within specified dimensional tolerances before assembly. The 0.568-inch diameter and 0.0002-inch tolerance make it appropriate for moderate-precision fits common in mechanical component fabrication. It is well-suited for both incoming inspection and in-process quality checks.
Designed as an OEM-style precision inspection tool for go/no-go hole gaging applications requiring a 0.568-inch nominal diameter at Class ZZ Plus tolerance.
Plug gages should be handled by qualified metrology or QC personnel familiar with gage R and R practices. Clean and deburr the hole to be measured before use to avoid premature gage wear or false readings. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent surface damage. Do not force the gage through an undersize hole, as this will damage the gage surface and compromise measurement accuracy.
