The SPI 29-303-5 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage designed to verify bore and hole diameters in production and inspection environments. Built to a measurement diameter of 0.303 inches with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches, this gage provides the precision needed for go/no-go acceptance checks on machined parts. The steel construction ensures dimensional stability and resistance to wear during repeated use. It is a standard single-ended plug gage used by machinists, quality control technicians, and tool room inspectors on the shop floor.
This plug gage is suited for dimensional inspection of drilled, reamed, or bored holes in both production and job-shop settings. It is appropriate for use in light manufacturing, aerospace component inspection, automotive machining, and general metalworking applications where hole diameter conformance must be verified to close tolerances. The compact form factor makes it easy to handle during high-volume inspection cycles.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use plug gage for inspection of holes and bores with a nominal diameter of 0.303 inches in standard Class ZZ Plus gage applications.
Plug gages are handled and used by machinists or quality inspection technicians — no power source or fasteners are required. Clean the gage and the bore being checked before use to prevent debris from affecting the measurement reading. Store the gage in its case or protective sleeve when not in use to protect the lapped surface from damage. Calibration and periodic re-certification should follow your facility's metrology standards and applicable ASME B89 guidelines.
