The SPI 29-064-3 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage designed for precise go/no-go inspection of small-diameter bores and holes. It measures a nominal diameter of 0.064 inches with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches, making it suitable for high-accuracy dimensional verification in production and quality-control environments. Constructed from steel for durability and wear resistance, this gage is a standard tool for machinists, toolmakers, and quality technicians who need repeatable, traceable measurements on tight-tolerance workpieces.
This plug gage is used in machine shops, manufacturing facilities, and precision inspection departments where small bore diameters must be verified to close tolerances. It is suited for both in-process checks on the shop floor and final inspection tasks. Typical applications include verifying drilled, reamed, or broached holes in metal and engineered plastic components where dimensional conformance is critical to assembly or function.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use plug gage for standard gage handle sets accommodating Class ZZ wire-size and decimal-inch plug gage members in the 0.064-inch diameter range.
Plug gages should be installed and used by qualified machinists or inspection technicians familiar with go/no-go gauging procedures. Clean both the gage and the workpiece bore before use to prevent debris from affecting measurement accuracy or causing surface damage. Never force the gage into a bore; apply light, consistent hand pressure only. Store the gage in a protected case away from other tooling to prevent nicks or corrosion that would affect calibration.
