The SPI 20-652-4 is a ball-style contact point designed for use with dial test indicators in precision measurement applications. The contact point features a 0.078-inch (2.00 mm) steel ball tip and a 0.52-inch contact point length, providing accurate surface contact for runout, deflection, and surface variation checks. Machined from steel for wear resistance and dimensional stability, it threads into compatible indicator stems and replaces worn or damaged factory tips. Installation is straightforward and requires no special tools. This part is handled by metrology technicians, machinists, and quality control personnel working with test indicator setups.
This contact point is suited for use in machine shops, manufacturing facilities, and inspection environments where dial test indicators are used to measure surface runout, bore alignment, or part deflection. The small ball diameter allows contact in tight geometries and on curved surfaces. It is a consumable replacement component kept on hand wherever Teclock test indicators are in regular service.
Designed for use with Teclock test indicators as a replacement ball contact point.
Contact points are installed and removed by hand or with light tooling — avoid overtightening to prevent damage to the indicator stem threads. Ensure the indicator is removed from any active measuring setup before swapping contact points. Inspect the replacement tip for surface defects before use to confirm measurement accuracy is not compromised.
