The SPI 19-788-9 is a Class ZZ minus plug pin gage machined from steel and used to verify bore and hole diameters to a nominal size of 0.788 inches. Class ZZ gages are manufactured to a minus tolerance of 0.0002 inches, meaning the gage is intentionally sized slightly under nominal to serve as a go or no-go reference in dimensional inspection work. Machinists, quality control technicians, and tool room personnel use plug pin gages as fast, reliable gauging tools when checking hole acceptance during production or incoming inspection.
This pin gage is suited for use in machine shops, manufacturing facilities, and quality inspection environments where hole diameter verification is required. It is appropriate for checking bores in metal or hard plastic components where a 0.788-inch nominal diameter is specified. The minus tolerance classification makes it useful as a go-gage reference in standard gauging practice. This gage is sold individually and is compatible with standard gage handle sets used to hold plug-style pin gages during inspection tasks.
Designed for use with standard plug pin gage handles sized to accept 0.788-inch diameter pin gages. Confirm handle range compatibility before use.
Plug pin gages should be handled with clean, dry hands or lint-free gloves to prevent corrosion from skin oils. Before use, verify the gage is clean and free of burrs or contamination that could produce false readings. Store in a protective case away from other metal tooling to prevent surface damage. Calibration intervals should follow the quality system requirements applicable to your facility.
