The SPI 19-737-6 is a Class ZZ minus plug pin gage used to verify hole diameters in precision machining and inspection work. It checks that a bored, drilled, or reamed hole falls within its specified tolerance by passing or rejecting based on physical fit. The gage measures 0.737 inches in diameter and holds a tolerance of 0.0002 inches, meeting Class ZZ standards for general-purpose dimensional inspection. Constructed from steel for durability and dimensional stability, this tool belongs in any shop or inspection department where hole size verification is a routine step in quality control.
This pin gage is suited for use in machine shops, manufacturing facilities, and tool rooms where hole diameter conformance must be confirmed before assembly. A minus designation means the gage is manufactured to the lower end of the tolerance band, making it appropriate for go-gage applications where the gage must pass through an acceptable hole. Machinists, quality control inspectors, and toolmakers use Class ZZ gages for production-floor inspection as well as receiving inspection of machined components.
Designed as a general-purpose Class ZZ minus plug gage for use with standard gage handles or pin gage sets accepting 0.737 inch diameter pin members. Verify handle size range before use.
Pin gages should be handled with clean cotton or nitrile gloves to prevent corrosion from skin oils. Before use, clean the gage and the test hole with a lint-free cloth to remove chips, coolant, or debris that could affect the measurement. Never force a pin gage into a hole; apply light, even hand pressure only. Store in a protective case away from temperature extremes to maintain calibration integrity.
