The SPI 19-104-9 is a Class ZZ minus plug pin gage machined from steel for use in go/no-go dimensional inspection workflows. It measures 0.104 inches in diameter with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches, placing it in the ZZ classification for general-purpose inspection and quality control. This gage is used to verify hole sizes, bore diameters, and feature acceptance in machined or fabricated parts. Machinists, quality technicians, and toolroom professionals use Class ZZ pin gages as a cost-effective solution for production-floor inspection where higher gage classes are not required.
Class ZZ minus plug gages are suited for incoming inspection, in-process checks, and final inspection of drilled, reamed, or punched features. The minus designation means the gage is manufactured to the lower end of the tolerance band, making it appropriate for applications where the gage must pass cleanly through an acceptable hole. This gage is intended for use in shop environments where repeatability and material hardness are priorities over laboratory-grade tolerances.
Designed as a general-purpose Class ZZ minus plug pin gage for use in standard go/no-go inspection setups where a 0.104 inch nominal diameter is required.
Pin gages should be handled with clean, dry hands or lint-free gloves to prevent corrosion from skin contact. Store gages in the provided case or a dry, temperature-stable environment when not in use. Do not force a pin gage into a feature; if resistance is encountered, remove the gage and inspect the workpiece. Calibration should be verified periodically against a certified master to maintain inspection integrity.
