The SPI 14-460-0 is a rigid, satin chrome-plated steel rule designed for precise linear measurement in trade and industrial settings. Measuring 24 inches in overall length and 1-1/8 inches in overall width, it carries dual graduation systems: decimal inch at 1/100 inch increments and metric, making it suitable for work that crosses unit systems. At 0.0400 inches thick, the blade maintains flatness without flex, supporting accurate scribe lines and direct-read measurements. Machinists, pipefitters, fabricators, and tool-and-die technicians are the primary users of this type of rule.
This rule is suited for layout, inspection, and fabrication work in machine shops, HVAC fabrication, plumbing rough-in, and general trade environments where both inch and metric measurement are required on the same job. The horizontal scale orientation supports straightforward left-to-right reading along a workpiece. The rigid construction makes it appropriate for use as a scribing guide against a straightedge or as a direct measurement tool on flat stock. No hook is included, so the rule is intended for inside measurements or use with a separate stop.
Designed as a general-purpose rigid steel rule for machinists, fabricators, and trade professionals requiring decimal inch and metric dual-graduation measuring tools in a 24-inch format.
No installation is required for this measuring tool. Keep the blade clean and dry to preserve the satin chrome finish and graduation legibility. Store flat or hanging to prevent warping. Do not use as a cutting guide with rotary tools, as blade edge damage will affect measurement accuracy.
