The SPI 14-178-8 is a 30-piece stainless steel radius gage set designed for measuring concave and convex radii on machined parts, castings, and fabricated components. Each blade is stamped from stainless steel and held together on a common pivot with a knurled locking nut that lets the technician select and lock a blade quickly. The set covers a radius range of 1/32 inch to 1/4 inch in 1/64-inch graduations, with an accuracy of 0.005 inch. Machinists, tool and die makers, QC inspectors, and fabricators use this set to verify fillet radii, chamfer profiles, and corner breaks during production and inspection work.
This set is suited for dimensional inspection in machine shops, fabrication shops, and quality control environments. It is equally practical on the shop floor and at an inspection bench. The 30 blades provide full coverage of the 1/32-to-1/4-inch range, making the set a standard reference tool wherever radius verification is required on small to medium-scale workpieces. Both concave and convex profiles are included, so one set handles inside corners as well as outside radii without swapping tools.
Designed as a general-purpose radius inspection tool for use with machined parts, weldments, and fabricated components requiring radius verification in the 1/32-to-1/4-inch range.
No installation is required for this tool. Clean the workpiece surface before use to ensure accurate blade-to-part contact. Select the appropriate blade, seat it flush against the radius being checked, and use a light source behind the blade to detect any gap. Store blades folded and secured with the locking nut to protect blade edges from damage.
