The SPI 14-176-2 is a 34-piece stainless steel radius gage set covering a measurement range of 1.00 mm to 7.00 mm with a 0.25 mm graduation interval. Each blade is precision-formed to check both concave and convex radii on machined parts, castings, fillets, and grooves. The set includes 17 concave blades and 17 convex blades, all manufactured from stainless steel for corrosion resistance and long service life. A knurled locking nut holds the selected blade firmly in position during use. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and quality control inspectors use this set as part of standard layout and inspection work in machine shops and manufacturing environments.
This radius gage set is suited for inspecting turned, milled, and ground components where fillet and corner radii must be verified to print specifications. The 0.25 mm step graduation allows close resolution across the full 1 to 7 mm range without requiring interpolation between blades. The stainless steel construction holds up to shop fluids and repeated handling. Style B configuration organizes all 34 blades in a single fanned holder assembly secured by the included knurled locking nut, making blade selection straightforward at the point of inspection.
Designed as a general-purpose radius inspection tool compatible with standard machining and quality control inspection workflows where metric radii from 1.00 mm to 7.00 mm must be verified.
No installation is required for this inspection tool. Store blades clean and lightly oiled to prevent surface oxidation and maintain gage accuracy over time. When selecting a blade, loosen the knurled locking nut, fan to the required radius, and re-tighten before applying the gage to the workpiece. Do not force blades against sharp or hardened edges, as this can deform the thin gage stock and introduce measurement error.
